Truly the best golfing destination in China, Haikou has always been one of our favorite places to play golf. This year we will be the first Australian golf group playing the new "Mission Hills Hainan", which will become the biggest golf resort in the world with 22 courses in the making and the new home of the "Omega World Cup" in 2011. The official opening of the course is actually a few days after our event with the newly created "Mission Hills Star Trophy Hainan". Greg Norman and Colin Montgomerie will lead an impressive field of celebrities. The event will be the richest Asian tournament this year and if you like you can stay for a few more days to watch this new exciting event.
The "China Challenge Haikou" also includes the new Graham Marsh designed course, Meilan GC; Montgomerie's Meishi Mayflower GC and last but not least the West Coast Golf Club, designed by Perry Dye.
Where else could we stay but at the Sheraton Haikou Resort, located at the beach of the South China Sea in close proximity to the golf courses.

The Schedule
Sunday, 17 October
Depart Melbourne or Sydney to Guangzhou with China Southern Airlines. Overnight at the 5 star Pullman Hotel Guangzhou, located directly at the airport. |
Mission Hills Haikou |
Monday, 18 October
Breakfast Buffet. Depart Guangzhou at 11:00am to Haikou on Hainan Island. Arrive 12:00pm. Transfer to the Sheraton Haikou Resort, check-in. Transfer to West Coast Golf Club, just 5 minutes away from the resort and play 9 holes in the afternoon. In the evening a two hour Cocktail Reception at the Sea View Lounge at the Sheraton Haikou Resort.

West Coast Golf Club |
Tuesday, 19 October
Breakfast Buffet. Transfer to the West Coast Golf Club for the first round of the "China Challenge Haikou". You will play with caddy and cart. In the evening Welcome Dinner Party at the Sheraton Resort direct at the beach overlooking the South China Sea. Red/white wine, beer and soft drinks included for three hours.

Meishi Mayflower Golf Club |
Wednesday, 20 October
Breakfast Buffet. Transfer to the Meishi Mayflower Golf Club for the second round of the "China Challenge Haikou". You will play with caddy and cart.
Afternoon and evening at leisure.

Meilan Golf Club |
Thursday, 21 October
Breakfast Buffet. Transfer to the new Graham Marsh course, the Meilan Golf CLub for the third round of the "China Challenge Haikou". You will play with caddy and cart.
Afternoon and evening at leisure.

Mission Hills Haikou |
Friday, 22 October
Breakfast Buffet. Transfer to the Mission Hills Resort Haikou.
Play the final round of the "China Challenge Haikou" on the new home course of the Omega World Cup. You will play with caddy and cart.

Sheraton Haikou Resort |
In the evening Gala Presentation Night at the Ballroom of the Sheraton Haikou Resort with a fantastic dinner, three hours of red/white wine, beer and soft drinks. Prize Presentation and local entertainment.

Saturday, 23 October
Breakfast Buffet.
Day of leisure. Discover the great shopping in Haikou City or simply relax at one of the pools at the Sheraton Haikou Resort.
Sunday, 24 October
Breakfast Buffet.
Transfer to Haikou International Airport for your flight to Guangzhou in the afternoon. Connecting flight to Sydney and Melbourne later in the evening. Relax at the bar of the Pullman Hotel.
Monday, 25 October
Arrive in Australia in the morning.

The Competition
The event will be a team and individual competition with daily and overall prizes. Each team comprises of four amateurs. The team event will be a 4BB stableford over four rounds with the best two scores from the team recorded on each hole.
There will be an overall scratch score for those on A grade handicaps and Nearest the Pins and Long Drives.
Handicap limit for Men is 27 and Ladies 36.
